What is it like when you are at the lowest point of your life and it seems like you are out of time… then suddenly, things began to get better, things work out and everything comes together for you?

That, for some, is what recovery looks like. Sometimes, we go through things and though they are unfortunate and seem like the lowest of the low, God will intervene—He will make things alright! God knows what is best for all of His children.

There are no mistakes. God shows us many lessons in our lives. Those lessons are not only learned through good times. There will be times of strife, but it is temporary. God helps us to recover, and it is in Him that the discovery of recovery and His promises to us are profoundly intertwined.

When we recover, we should expect to see God’s hand in our recovery process. Let us not be deceived or conceited when things begin looking up. Instead, we should look up, to the source of our newness, that being God. Reverence Him with praise for the recovery!

Scripture to Remember: Jeremiah 17:14 (NIV)

14 Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed;
    save me and I will be saved,
    for you are the one I praise.
