As beings on this earth, we can all attest to the feeling that everything does not make sense. This could be contingent on the fact that God has a way of working in ways that we cannot always understand. We can attribute that with the fact that His ways are not our ways, nor are His thought processes the same as ours (Isaiah 55:89-9). While on this earth, it is safe to say that things are a work in progress.

God has a master plan for each and every one of us. As God’s children, this journey is a work in progress. There will be some ups, downs, twists and turns. As individuals, we can also say that we are a work in progress. God making us in His image is just part of our genetic code. God is building us up daily. God is maneuvering in our lives in a way that we can be proud of—even after every trial, heartache, joy, and sacrifice. God is working on us, thereby working within this whole world.

God is the author of this story. He is the finisher. Until His will is done, we are all a work in progress. As we progress, let us gravitate to the lessons of the Father. How can we do that? We do that by engaging and actively applying His word (James 1:22-25).  When there’s a wrench thrown into “our plans,” be mindful that God’s plan is greater and that we are still working and progressing because He deems it so. As we continuously build, glorify the builder! Our works are not null and void! Our progress is not staggered! Instead it is active and delightful when God is in it!

Scripture to Remember: Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
