When we think of who God is, we should rejoice! Our God is great! He continuously makes provisions for us, His children! Even when we look back over our lives, we should rejoice! God has delivered us from dangers seen and unseen.

To rejoice means to show gratitude. The dictionary declares it as a verb, meaning to feel or show great joy or delight. Rejoicing God’s goodness means showing Him how grateful we are for Him. Rejoicing God is worshipping Him, and rightly so! God is good ALL the time. He deserves to be acknowledged and praised for who He is to us.

When thinking of rejoicing, consider this—we are alive and well! We have the activities of our limbs. We are in our right mind. We have people here on earth who love and care about us. We have food, clothing, shelter, a place of employment. We have the ability to care for ourselves and others. The list goes on and on. Just keep thinking of all that you have and what you do not lack. That should conjure up a praise—a rejoicing heart! Let is give god a joyous praise for all that we are and all that He is to us!

Meditate on This: Deuteronomy 12:7 New International (NIV)

There, in the presence of the Lord your God, you and your families shall eat and shall rejoice in everything you have put your hand to, because the Lord your God has blessed you.
