What is your first instinct when you do not know what to expect next? Is it surprise? Joy? Is it anxiousness (waves hand frantically)? Is it worry?

The unknown can be exciting, given an expectation of something good to come. However, circumstances that are scary, then there comes the fear of the unknown. You may think, what next?

In times where we fear the unknown, here are some tactics that may prove to be helpful:

  • Trust in God
  • Recognize that God is in control
  • Prayer helps to ease tension
  • Just because you don’t know what to expect does not mean that you give up on what YOU KNOW to expect! So, as a believer, you can believe that God will make it for your good! He will always be on your side! He knows ALL!

**God will deliver you from your fears! He will calm you; the power that He has is a sureness that should remind you to fear not!

Scripture to Remember: Psalm 34:4-7 New International Version (NIV)

I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
    he delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to him are radiant;
    their faces are never covered with shame.
This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
    he saved him out of all his troubles.
The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him,
    and he delivers them.
