There is a reliable friend in which we can all count on. That reliable friend is God. In His word, he is often encouraging us to count on Him.

When times are rough, God whispers to His children, “Count on Me.”

When there appears to be no way out of our mess, whether it is created by us or not, God is still there, waiting for us to seek Him in the matters that plague us.

Even in our temptations, we can count on God to provide the discernment we need to flee temptation and to do what He says is right for us. When the Word says cast your cares on Him, that is God saying, “Count on Me.”

When the Word says “my grace is sufficient,” that is similar to God saying “you can count on me.”

We should think about times where we knew that nobody but God could help! Those are times when God could be counted on! He is a reliable, faithful and loving Father.

Just as we hope our parents are reliable, loving and protective of us, that is who our God is. Moreover, He can do more than our parents. He looks high, seeing all that was, all that is going on right now, and all that is to come in the future. His love and guidance are trustworthy. Count on God for all that this life brings!

Meditate on This: 2 Thessalonians 3:3 New International Version (NIV)

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
