In any relationship we have, we want there to be some exclusivity to it. We want it to be a mutual understanding amongst us that we genuinely care about one another. The same applies to our relationship with God.

God wants us to exclusively reverence Him. We should strive to strengthen our relationship with the Lord by making it personal.

Having a generic, nonchalant response to the relationship we have with God may leave us lacking. Making our relationship personal, spending that one on one time with God makes all the difference. It changes our prayer life, making it better and easier to go to God with our requests.

Making our relationship personal with God also changes the way we worship. We will be bold in our worship to God, knowing Him personally in our daily lives. We will also be able to tune out naysayers and doubts when we have a personal connection with God. Making it personal means it is unique; unlike anything else anybody else has. Let us be intentional about establishing a relationship with our Father that is personal and fit just for us, individually.

Meditate on This: 1 Corinthians 6:17 (NIV)

17 But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.
